Effectiveness of Agricultural Information and Communication Center for Disseminating Agricultural Information

Nowadays, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are playing important role in communicating agricultural information. In this connection, the government of Bangladesh established a number Agricultural Centers (AICC) at Union level to disseminate The purposes study were determine effectiveness AICC for disseminating information explore contribution selected characteristics member farmers AICC. Data collected from 90 randomly nine Upazillas Faridpur district under Dhaka division. Face-to-face interview followed by pretested structured questionnaire was held with gather data. survey revealed that an overwhelming majority (80%) perceived medium AICC, while 7.8% them low 12.2% high influenced intensity use ICT, length experience ICT using confidence. Therefore, responsible organizations such as Agriculture Service (AIS) help Department Extension (DAE) other advisory service-providing should take action enhance AICC.
